Let's see, something interesting that I can say about myself...
I just got back from participating at the 20th Annual Undergraduate Research convention here at UCD. Thats right; Im a researcher. Whoo! I feel smart. It was however the culmination of about two quarters worth of image cleaning and data crunching though, so it felt nice to have it over with. One less thing on my plate now. Which is a good thing considering its midterm season. In fact, I should be writing two essays now. Ah well. I have tomorrow to freak out about them.
Im also thinking about going to UCDs summer archaeological field school: 6 weeks of digging in the dirt in scorching 100-degree plus weather. Its gonna be fun actually, Ive heard it is, in fact, fun. After you convince yourself that showers and balanced meals are not necessities to survive. It would eat up a good chunk of my summer but everyone, from professors to other students, say its a good idea so Im thinking they may be on to something. I'm already having to think about summer and it seems like this quarter just started. Where does the time go?!
I wish I had more time just to draw or do anything remotely artsy but, at least until the midterm rush is over, it doesnt look like thats really going to happen. :sigh: Hopefully a new campfire will be fired up pretty soon though; I'm sure I can make time for that...
And has anyone else noticed how messed up the weather is? Or maybe its just here. It dropped nearly 30 degrees in the span of twenty-four hours and went from summer to fall and raining in about the blink of an eye. Ridiculous. The weather really needs to make up its mind. At least it was sunny for Picnic Day this year! I suppose I should thank the weather for that.
